Bug Free Beauty and Chicks

“Deep sigh”…At last… it seems as though the bugs are gone and the vegetables can grow in peace…

Journaling the garden today on October 20th…

Found these yellow crooked neck squash growing in the green house today…

Notice the pansies in the first picture? Pansies are actually edible. And nasturtiums (far right in the first picture)  are edible and they are really starting to grow…

This little video shows more flowers that are edible…

The kale and parsley are just amazing…

And the red and green lettuces are coming right along…

I even have a couple of bok choy plants that survived the cabbage worm attack…

The new tiny lettuces are surviving outside. They are kind of hard to see in this picture, but they are there…

The tomato plants are really getting big and I’m really hoping they will make it in the greenhouse…

Now the chicks…they are doing great in their box. I added a little Colloidal Silver to their water as a precaution.

And we put a temporary fence to let the hens out for a bit. They need to really feel at home in their coop so that when we finally let them free range they will come back to it.

And this photo is the Barred Rock basking in the sun…

That’s it for now… : )
